Welcome to the Shire! This is a bit of a passion project for one of our founders, who grew up in England and has been on a quest for a perfect cup of tea for about the last decade – around about the time he moved to Canada. Well this is it – a blend of exceptionally high quality black teas with a bold enough flavour to withstand sugar and milk but delicate enough notes to stand alone. This is a classic breakfast tea, though of course best served with second (or third) breakfast, or even elevenses.

This is honestly one of the best, most balanced breakfast blends I’ve had in a VERY long time. It makes a perfect morning tea, a glorious iced tea, and both my mom (also a tea snob) and I absolutely adore it. I’m so glad it’s available to order and for the subscription!!

This is a nice, solid black tea! Full-flavored, nice morning lift. I like flavored teas too, but sometimes you just want a good cuppa.

A fantastic, easy to drink black tea. Great to start the morning or end the night. Warm and traditional in flavor, it’s a great example of a breakfast tea. Makes a great base for blending at home or adding in flavored syrups.

I bought a pack at WA SummerCon and made a cuppa immediately when I got home.
I’m a tea snob for basic flavors of the black or green tea leaves families and don’t usually like extra fruity or non-fruity flavors, so this was the only basic black tea leaf option they had and it was amazing! So much more balance flavor than other “English Breakfast” variety I’ve had in the past.
I do hope for more basic varieties in the future.
